About this thread insert
This is a thread insert in Zinc Alloy, at strength class Grade 4.8, supplied colour zinc plated, with an M8 thread and a 25 mm length. A thread insert repairs a stripped thread or reinforces a thread in a softer parent material, so a steel fastener can be used again and again in aluminium, plastic or castings.
