About this screw
This is a screw in 304 Stainless Steel, at strength class A2-70, supplied plain, with an M1.7 thread and a 4 mm length. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.
A screw threads directly into the parent material or into a nut, so the thread form, the point and the drive decide what it can be used for. Commonly used on machinery, tooling, appliances, electrical enclosures, furniture and automotive assemblies where the head has to sit low or be driven from one side only.
A2-70 is 304 stainless, cold worked to a 700 MPa minimum tensile and 450 MPa 0.2% proof stress. It is the default stainless grade for general purpose bolts and screws.
M1.7 is a metric thread with an 1.7 mm nominal diameter and a coarse pitch of 0.35 mm (ISO 261).
