About this retaining ring
This is a retaining ring in Silicone, supplied clear, with an M7 thread. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.
A retaining ring locates a component axially on a shaft or inside a bore, seating in a machined groove so the part cannot walk out of position. Used on shafts, bearings, pins and gear assemblies where an axial stop is needed but a shoulder or collar is not possible.
A coloured finish, in most cases a dyed passivate over a zinc layer or a dyed organic film. Appearance plus light corrosion protection.
