About this GB 93 washer

This is a washer made to GB 93, in Phosphor Bronze, at strength class Grade 4.8, supplied self colour, with an M4 thread. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.

A washer spreads the clamp load of the fastener over a wider area of the joint face and keeps the turning nut or head from scoring the part underneath. Fitted under bolts, screws and nuts on soft or painted surfaces, slotted holes, and any joint that is taken apart often enough for the face to matter.

A phosphor bronze grade in our catalogue. Ask us for the mill certificate and the exact mechanical properties of any line before you specify it into a design.

Grade 4.8 is low-carbon steel at 400 MPa tensile / 320 MPa yield. Suitable for light-duty, non-critical joints and the cheapest option per piece.

Is this not quite the size or grade you need? Ask us — we produce small batches to drawing and to DIN, ISO, GB and JIS standards, and we consolidate pallet and container loads for trade orders.
