About this GB 882 pin
This is a pin made to GB 882, in 304 Stainless Steel, at strength class A2-70, supplied plain, with an M5 thread and a 100 mm length. Every dimension is stated against the standard named above; where a tolerance class matters to your design, ask us and we will confirm it in writing before you order.
A pin is a positive locator: it carries shear rather than clamp load, so it holds two parts in exact alignment instead of pressing them together. Used to locate and hinge components on machinery, linkages, hinges and tooling where a bolt would be the wrong kind of load path.
Plain (self-colour) means no coating. On 304 and 316 stainless that is fine — the alloy passivates on its own. On carbon steel it will rust, so choose a coated option instead.
M5 is a metric thread with an 5 mm nominal diameter and a coarse pitch of 0.8 mm (ISO 261). A standard hex head takes a 8 mm spanner across the flats.
Sold by the piece, so one is a valid order. Stock lines leave our warehouse within 24–48 hours of cleared payment, and freight is calculated at checkout from the packed weight and the destination.
